Our Story
Smith Acres began as a family farm with more than a century of history. What was once a weathered tobacco ban has been thoughtfully restored into a modern wedding venue while preserving the character that makes it so special.
Today Smith Acres Venue is owned by Shelley McGuffey and Glenna Rasche - two women who share one vision: creating unforgettable wedding experiences where every couple feels welcomed, celebrated, and cared for from the moment they arrive.
Shelley works closely with couples on planning, styling, and bringing each wedding vision to life. Glenna focuses on continually improving the venue, enhancing the guest experience, and ensuring every detail reflects the quality couples deserve.

On a crisp Kentucky Autumn afternoon, the rolling fields surrounding Smith Acres were brushed with shades of gold, amber, and rust creating a breathtaking backdrop to set the perfect stage for a celebration filled with love, laughter, and heartfelt moments. As vows were shared beneath the open sky, surrounded by family and the quiet serenity of the land, the ceremony felt like something out of a storybook.
